I gotta admit, thirty years ago when I was in my thrash metal band, 'Blasphemy Machine' would have been a kick-ass song.

It's always fascinating how the threats people make say so much about them personally: that sad puppy's biggest fear was probably people finding out who he was.

If you live your online life in a way that makes you fear facing consequences in real life if you're identified, you're doing it wrong.

Schumer needs to go. The United States of America needs people who stand up for people, not political donors.

For Trump republicans, the cruelty is the point. Making people suffer makes them look strong, at least in their own eyes.

I do drink coffee, and I even like burnt coffee, but not crossing this picket is easy since I learned to roast coffee myself. Now I can burn it horribly at home to my own satisfaction without needing to get a Starbucks involved

Pretty sure I'm preaching to the choir with this one, but it's very obvious who paid attention in history class versus those who slept through it.

"Hey, that whole Nazi thing really worked out well for the Nazis, didn't it?" the people in the Trump administration are probably asking.

Just imagine, if you will, the world we would be living in if CNN 'journalists' spent even a fraction of their air time on holding Republicans accountable for their actions.

They won't, of course. CNN is owned by the billionaires and actual truth is being buried by people who failed journalism.

The next administration should rename it 'The Nuremberg Ballroom' and hold war crimes trials and crimes against humanities trials of Trump administration officials there.

They knew who he was the first time they voted for him. After the pussy-grabbing thing, after mocking a disabled reporter, after the hundred and one absolutely horrible things he did, they knew. They still voted for him.

Claims that they're somehow 'nicer than that' are demonstrably false.

If you can, please support your local food banks. They're going to need all the help they can get to help people who're being hurt by the Trump administration.

It's definitely the kind of dietary misteak which can lead to someone stroganoff.

The modern republican party has been overtaken by the cancer of Trumpism, and the current Democratic leadership is wholly unequal to the challenge of saving Democracy from the fires of fascism.

We need new Democratic leaders. The ones we have brought us to this precipice.

Umberto Eco, from his essay on Ur-Fascism: "For Ur-Fascism there is no struggle for life but, rather, life is lived for struggle. Thus pacifism is trafficking with the enemy. It is bad because life is permanent warfare."

Tom Barrack's response is right out of the fascist playbook.

If it makes you feel any better, I write for a living, program for a living, my hobby is editing, and yet I'm still terrible at it.

No human being can read what they write and see what's actually there; we see what we intended to write, and think it's fine.

Until we see it later and squirm.

It's easy to make jokes about her choice in fashion, but the truth is far worse.

She is utterly disconnected from the lives of normal human beings, to the point where she has no idea what is even normal or acceptable.

And she has the ear of the President of the United States of America.

We're up to about four apocalypses currently, and they're all on us.

The best thing we can hope at this point for is some kind civilization-threatening calamity that we didn't actually cause, because that might get us to do something about it.
