Its definitely very easy if you know someone's problematic, I didn't exactly word my point correctly in response, I was more so just making a related point to the greater topic.

But the community often doesn't care what people do and don't know, if they see people the lineup with X person, or having booked X person they get ate up for it, before they've even had a chance to react, back out or whatever.

"Oh its just about someone who did something bad to a friend of mine" Well, if thats all the info I'm given then I can't be expected to avoid that person, or not be on a lineup with them. If I'm told, I'll take care of it and I always have done exactly this.

There have been more than one occasion where someone gets found out to be a horrible POS, and I see a bunch of cryptic-unspecific shit about it on bluesky and start asking around to see who it was and/or what they did and I'm met with more cryptic stuff.

But that didn't make your list, so it just kind of goes to show that everyones list is different. But that wasn't even my point, my greater point is that it really feels like the community expects me and everyone else to know who all the bad actors are without any real way of knowing. 2/?

Yes, and I would never knowingly interact with any of those people. But I think it would be incredibly naive to act like every person who people get up in arms about is one of those people. Just recently its people using AI. I also wouldn't want collaborate with people who use AI art 1/?

Its actually not easy at all because in the VR scene there are 6 new problematic people every weekend and you have to 1. Be up to date on who they are and 2. Decipher who is actually problematic and who is just under attack from the grass starved folk.

Its literally always just plain black nails that I did in 30 seconds in one coat and has been nicked and scraped all weekend. If It was actually something I put effort into I'd probably feel differently.
