Trans men were women at birth, so by the supreme courts ruling, they should be allowed to participate in the women’s caucus if they can no longer take part in the men’s caucus.

You have a very narrow view of the world, and I feel sorry for you.

Are you seriously telling me that trans people never have to worry about being verbally and/or physically assaulted by hateful people just because they’re different?

Literally anyone who goes into a public bathroom or other public space has the potential to be a threat to others, but the moment you start assuming a person is a threat because they belong to a certain group, it becomes a slippery slope. These changes could make discrimination seem justifiable.

So by that logic, you’re saying that a woman identifying as a man is female privilege?

Everyone should be treated with respect, regardless of whether they are male, female, or identity as a gender other then the one they were assigned at birth. Trans people shouldn’t be treated like criminals, especially when they are disproportionately the victims of abuse.

I don’t want that to happen to anyone!! I just want to live in a world where men, women and trans people can be treated equally. Also, weakening rights for trans people, who are already some of the most vulnerable people in this country, will just make it easier to target other minority groups next.

Trans people are statistically more likely to be the victims of harassment and assault then perpetrators. And this doesn’t just effect trans women, as there are plenty of cases of cis women being falsely accused of being trans just because they don’t meet some bigot’s arbitrary portrait of womanhood
