European. Get Britain back in the EU.

Fascists have no place in society.

AI is garbage and should be treated as such.

America and Trump, go fuck yourselves.
He's a quisling.

Because he may be a capricious, unhinged lunatic, but he loves having his ego stroked.

Petition: By-elections to be called automatically when MPs defect to another party
When an MP decides they want to defect to another party a by-election should be automatically triggered to allow the constituents the opportunity have their democratic right to agree or not with their...

Go one better, close US military bases in the UK while they threaten NATO members. There is no "special relationship" with Perfidious America and it's high time politicians realised that. We need to closer ties with the EU.

Too easy to blame just Putin when we have had an Anglosphere-pushing right-wing populist in charge of a gigantic chunk of the news for my entire lifespan.
January 18, 2026 at 11:55 AM
...and this bullshit one-sided "special relationship" with Perfidious America that we claim to have.

Starmer isn't in the wrong to try to keep the insane leader of the US happy while trying to explore closer ties with the EU.

As it stands, they are little more than a state pulling a protection racket under Trump and we need to distance ourselves further and further from them...

Something we likely could have done if we hadn't cut our nose off to spite our face by leaving the EU. Instead, we removed ourselves from trade agreements with the continent and made the US our biggest individual trading partner.

Perfidious America.
January 17, 2026 at 11:58 PM
The Lib Dems, Labour, the Greens, all need to be working on getting the UK back in the EU ASAP. We're absolutely fucked if this carries on. I don't fancy the UK being the next target of orange-Hitler's ire, or desire.
January 17, 2026 at 8:42 PM
Swing and a miss. You should be rallying around the Government trying to work a solution to this madness from across the pond, rather than trying to score political points and blame Starmer for the Yanks electing a capricious lunatic, when he's been doing his best to not cause further fallout.
January 17, 2026 at 8:42 PM
So we're in agreement that austerity was an abject disaster. Just because the Tories were in power for longer, or Labour promised similar, it doesn't absolve the Lib Dems of their own hand in it.
January 15, 2026 at 11:58 AM
We need to look at the unmitigated mess and disaster that is the US and how disgusting the Trump administration is acting and want to distance ourselves from acting that way as humanly possible.

Politics should be a calling to change the country for the better, not a free ride. Or a power trip.

Hold any person in either house to the same standard as Police, an independent body overseeing complaints.

We should not be in a world where politicians, who set laws, budgets, etc are not held to the absolute highest standard of all people.

Standards including respect and dignity in office.

Abolish the House of Lords and introduce an elected house of judges/magistrates/KCs, who can sit for no more than ten years before being rotated out.
Money provided is only for work done - voting/speaking/whatever, rather than "turning up" to get £361 a day as is currently "acceptable".
January 14, 2026 at 2:27 PM
Any instance of corruption, malfeasance, being paid by outside bodies/interests (esp. to the extent of taking money to advertise) should preclude from ever running again.

No foreign investment in political parties and all party income has to be vetted to ensure no outside influence.
January 14, 2026 at 2:27 PM
It's almost like the lasting effects of the calamitous austerity policy - which the Lib Dems had a hand in the last time they were in power - are still being felt, isn't it?
January 14, 2026 at 1:49 PM
and straight to a new post to bury the previous. Guess the replies to the last one calling for you to leave twitter or face looking like a hypocrite didn't go the way you wanted?
January 13, 2026 at 7:57 PM
Why are you still on twitter? If you have anything about you, other than posting safe, trite platitudes, you should be raising a point in Westminster for all political parties in the UK to boycott twitter and Musk's propaganda machine.

Go on. I dare you.

It's all there and plain as day. We need to do something IMMEDIATELY about the rampant march of fascism, or we end up in the same state as the US.

Why have you not brought up Rep. Luna's inflammatory remarks on twitter, threatening to sanction Starmer and the UK for considering banning twitter for allowing AI edits of women and children? This needs discussed immediately and our "relationship" with this adversarial rogue nation reconsidered.
