The scaffolding started going up in 1984 and will be fully removed after 51 years, by which time ancient scaffolding may be protected as a heritage object.
Another 2030 Belgian bicentenary goal is dropped. The historic scaffolding on the Brussels Law Courts won't be fully removed until 2035.
