Back from Gamescom, it was incredibly successful for us, and I met great folks from our community and industry peers.

While gamers experienced an exciting event, the #gamedev talks circled around the same dire strait topics: high risk, missing money, hard to get publishing deals, funding and jobs.

Four games I've worked on:

From Enoshima Island, Shrines and Temple of Kamakura to Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto, sacred sites in Japan have a very special aura to them.

Please don't forget to pay respect and educate yourself about the customs.

I think the spirit of the industry coming together will continue in mid-sized trade fairs, where it is also more feasible for industry peers small and big to participate.

Many talked about gamescom replacing E3 but they also changed and will continue to transform significantly. 1/3
