Thistle and Scotland fan, music lover and avid collector of things such as football cards & magazines, pop postcards, film postcards and a whole bunch of cds.
One for #cdfriday, a good compilation but some of the tracks I have elsewhere such as the theme song by the Bodeans. I don't have Stevie Nicks version of Free Fallin' which is pretty good nor the Chaka Khan / Bruce Hornsby song. Then there's Rusted Root, Rickie Lee Jones & more. #cdsky

Ok this week's buys, a bit more than the three last week although I seem to have added the Proclaimers & Camel ones from last week in here too. Sadly all were 99p or £1 so a wee bit of cost with this lot #cdfriday

Back to vintage postcards with Greta Lovisa Gustafsson & Spangler Arlington Brugh or rather Greta Garbo & Robert Taylor. Both major stars in their time and appeared together in the 1936's 'Camille'. Garbo was nominated for her performance, one of four but she was never to win. #FilmSky

Final postcards of the day. Well you can't show the four girls of the March family from Little Women without posting Spring Byington who played Marmee & Edna May Oliver who was Aunt March.
Both were great character actresses and with Spring in particular always a joy to see in any film. #FilmSky

These postcards came in a joblot on eBay with a lot of poster picture covers. They were obviously from a collector who seperated poster covers & postcards from his 7" collection. He did of course detail via stickers which single they were from but why the hell did he put the sticker to the front!

Back to vintage postcards with Madge Evans & Ramon Novarro. Both started out in silent movies, Madge, 1914 & Ramon 1917. They made two films together, Son of India in 1931 and Huddle a year later.
Ramon was sadly murdered in his home in October 1968 by two intruders looking to rob him. #FilmSky

French actresses in Annabella & Olympe Bradna next. Annabella was a success in her homeland before moving to Hollywood in the 30s but still made films in France too. She was married to Tyrone Power for nine years.
Bradna moved to the US in 1936 retiring in 1941 but lived her days out in America.
