there’s an aur package for the old drivers but you have to hunt down all the dependencies manually, even aur helpers couldn’t get it right for me i had to spend like an hour trying to figure out which libraries i needed to replace to not brick my system

really wish i was allowed to use the perfectly fine 1080ti that still runs everything i do on it fine. no i am not using nouveau

main thing that was time consuming about this entire process was my archive drive is a very slow hard drive so backing up the partition took a few hours. i also installed arch on said hard drive then moved the install over using rsync and reinstalled grub which took a bit

if it runs better on my air than my desktop i will be mildly upset
