I had an entire bag of pecans, shelled the same day. My unexpected companions ate most of them, and I couldn’t bring myself to try and explain I bought those for the squirrels.

I’ll get to make friends with wild rodents another time.

I have been very good in not engaging either of those behaviors in years, thank you very much.

Alas the squirrels in Florida are kinder to rabbits. I did not even get to touch a squirrel today.
