I honestly blame Hollywood, to a point, for focusing entirely on doctors in shows doing procedures and roles that would normally be done by nurses.

Also because nursing is a break-in field for many immigrant women. But I genuinely think that they don't see nursing as a real job or at all important, despite hospitals essentially being run by nurses (in the range of about 3-5 nurses for every doctor, plus handling most procedures).

Reduces easy access to the profession with the largest number of women, which offers a path to financial independence for women, and which gives women a degree of authority in the workplace. Plus they just don't value the work that nurses do (which is A LOT).

(I caught the mouse in the first place because it tried to cower behind my foot and I looked down thinking Mewt had crawled under my chair, so........yeah)

Sat down with my dad a few months back to watch it and proceeded to just talk about the books and point out the easter eggs. He said "why does the name sound familiar?" I noted that HE WAS THE ONE who bought me the books in the first place a few years back.
