Finished Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees today! I really enjoyed it. It’s a simple, fast paced story with lovely art and in the back it even shows alternate cover options they have/had! Since it’s short I won’t say much more about it but it’s a good little horror read! #👑🍒📙

My books arrived yesterday! They are all pretty thin so I may get to finish them all before the new year! I might start with the graphic novel just bc it is thinnest + I’m unreasonably excited to read about rival serial killers in cutesy animal form~

The spines of the four books I ordered, misaligned but mainly only an image to show the thickness of each book. Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees is very thin, but larger than the rest. Thing In Nature Merely Grow is a hardcover, maybe an inch and a half thick. When Women Were Dragons is the thickest, over two inches, and I Who Have Never Known Men is slightly thicker than Things In Nature Merely Grow. My Barbie flip phone which now has a clear case, entirely covered with flat and puffy stickers. Some include bubbles, a pink phone, bunnies in a cherry hat, conversation hearts (like the candy hearts that say ‘be mine’ and many more cute pink things. I have attached charms to my phone as well - a light pink beaded wrist strap that has pink cherries hanging off the bottom, a light pink jellyfish that has stars dangling in its tentacles, and a cute rounded pale yellow star. The back of my Barbie flip phone. You can see the wavy pattern of my phone behind the case. On the case are more puffy pink stickers and bubbles and a pink gummy bear with a skeleton inside it. In the center is a rhinestone sticker of a gum-ball machine.

I think of how they and I are not so different when testing the waters, and I think of how easily their lives are snuffed, squashed and sprayed out. I think of how humans are very much the same. I finished The Lovely Bones yesterday and I must admit I adored it. The connections between the characters in the book are more interwoven than what I knew from the movie - which makes sense - but it also covered more years of the Salmon family's life/death than I anticipated, which I loved. +

I'm late to post about I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy, but I did finish it and I can say that it really stood out to me in its humor and honesty. I listened to the audiobook, and I'm glad I could *hear* her story in her own words. Great read/listen. She did a great reading of it!

Behind the glass, you can only vaguely see lights on the ceiling and an empty floor ahead. My reference was a screen-shot from the horror film "Jeepers Creepers" (2001)

I almost threw this card away, actually, because it is so small and I forgot that it was a part of the benefit at all! I checked the post I had seen, saw the card, checked the pouch - nope, not in there- then ran back to the trash and yep, a small, thin slip of paper had escaped the initial swipe of my fingers when opening the envelope packaging. If you put in for this, be sure to check your own so you don't end up like me!

Finished book 3 recently - my mom had warned me that some of NR's series tend to end a bit quickly for her taste in comparison to the building of everything else - I would say I agree but that the slow walk through the story is kind of the point lol. [No Spoilers] I'll add more thoughts in ALT!

I feel like I also had one or two specific "I wish we saw..." moments, but again, I liked it overall.

Edited form of the two-frame meme from lord of the rings where Bilbo is holding the One Ring in his hands. Normally, the text would read Top Frame: "After all... why not?" Bottom Frame: "Why shouldn't I keep it?" Referring to keeping the One Ring for himself. I have edited it to show nearly transparent dragons behind Bilbo in both frames, with one black clip-art dragon resting in his hands in place of the One Ring in the second (bottom) frame. The text I have given it reads Top Frame: "After all... why not?" Bottom Frame: "Why shouldn't I add a dragon to my WIP?"
