I think as a whole anything on Social media is very unimportant. We seem to have not learned from Facebook, Twitter etc. in that reacting to these people makes them more important than they are.

The accounts I block are accounts I don't want to interact with because of the content on their account not because who they follow. I'm couldn't care less about who blocks me.
