Amateur juggler (very much in the sense of the French amateur "one who loves, lover", from which it is derived). Linux geek, dogherd, enough of a programmer to get myself in trouble.

ALL OPINIONS ARE XIOMBARG'S.
Maybe some of them are subtle. I've seen a couple of them stirring the pot, and I'm not an observant man.

1) Steve Miller doesn't care about immigrant criminality, he cares about power. 2) He's projecting in order to justify violence against immigrants. 3) The culture He's protecting is a decendant of the confederacy, where white men had all the power.

Although if it makes the bionic man noise and goes into slow motion, that's probably not a good sign.

Hm. I'm not really a golf person, but I worked with his daughter in the mid '90s, I feel for her.

Three days earlier...

Y'know, I've noticed that the last four or five high profile acts of violence which had the right wing media in a froth about left wing violence were committed by... people who identify as right wing. The jury's still out on this one, but maybe there's a pattern here. (It's terrible in any case)

"I picked up an accent while living in Germany". "Bayrisch?, Tyrol?". "MinnesOta"

Ana Ng is up there, mostly for the line "I don't want the world, I just want your half", but I have to go with "Where Your Eyes Don't Go".

I used to use that as my 'end of lunch break' alarm.

I'm your only friend, but I'm not actually your friend, but I'm your little glowing friend...

I have no urge to verify this.

Nice. I wish I'd seen this tutorial about 25 years ago.

Alanis Morriset meets Billy Jack: I've got one hand in my pocket, and I'm going to take this foot, and I'm going to whop you on that side of your face.

Nikkie's a shelter dog. We got him a couple of years after we lost Josie, our Airedale, and we were in desperately in need of some terrier spirit. I've been meaning to get a DNA test for him.

Genius! Now, take pictures of them in that spot, print it life size, attach it to the board and and laugh whenever they switch spots.

I think this is one of the things that I find so dispiriting about Trump and MAGA. It seems like there's a generational inflection point where collective ignorance and lack of historical knowledge and experience tipped toward his brand of... whateverethehell we get from forgetting about Nazism.

FWIW, it's a phrase that I'm sure that Trump has used in the bedroom, unaware that he was making a reference.

Oh, I like that!

I would like to know more about that. For a long time, I thought that there was no chance that I was AuDHD because I'm generally very empathetic, and I'm good at mirroring, but apparently, that's not an uncommon self perception among people with autism, and I certainly have some blind spots.

I turn 55 tomorrow. I think the chances are pretty decent that AI will be able to do this in my lifetime. It *might* be able to do it before I retire.
November 21, 2025 at 5:04 PM
That was Babe, actually, but I fully agree.

I suspect the truth lies in the gray area between the two of these. LLMs certainly aren't there yet, and I think we're in the 20% of the 80-20 rule right now, so I don't think that we're going to get there soon, but it won't be for lack of trying on the part of OpenAI, Anthropic, et. al.

Substituting "He'll" for
"Hell" is one of my least favorite autocompleteographical errors.
