Not at all. I am suggesting that the PBO is: duplicating information already available; takes an AG role, replaces the job of MPs to scrutinize fiscal documents and in doing so, has replaced the opinions and voice of Parliamentarians and the media, eg. CBC uses "eye popping deficit" ad nauseam.

It is the reason the PBO was created. To support and guide MPs and staff through the budget and supply process and documents. MPs principle responsibility as custodians of raising revenue and overseeing spending.
