If someone does use these against your will they're a bad person and you can remove them from your server.
Without these bots, there's still nothing stopping people from downloading the images and putting them into AI image editing websites.

You're mostly safe.
There's no reason to worry about AI bots scraping messages to train them unless it's in the member list.
You can't stop people using the bots with messages from your server, turning the 'External Apps' permission off will just make it easier to do it unnoticed.

Discord then had an idea that since bots no longer need (and by default no longer have) access to messages, why not allow bots on a user level and in DMs. Kind of crazy IMO.
Some older bots may still directly use messages but those bots can't be used as user apps, which is a good thing.

The way these "user apps" work is through Discord's new-ish "interaction" system which, instead of having a bot wait for messages and respond to ones it would like to, instead the user sends a special message (a command) which Discord then directly notifies the bot about.
