No, it works. But it's an expensive workaround, when they used to allow you to do all that within their own pages, at no extra cost. Hence my point about squarespace sucking

I'm currently using an external player called elfsight- generates code and i just paste it in the embed block. I think i went with that at the time because it was cheaper than upgrading at SS. If there are comparable free ones, I haven't found em...

Ah ok! Thanks, will look into this. Am already paying extra for the offsite hosting. SS lets you upload single files, which may be suited to podcasting once we go that route, but they took their "album pages" completely off the menu

Plus they basically nuked onsite music hosting and force you to farm that aspect out to paid third party providers

They used to be ok but now they have a new editor that i find extremely limiting to work with
