🌤️Happy #GroundhogDay!

So, what is it? 🤔
It’s a low value cheque or micro bank draft called an “Assegno.”
It was issued in late ’70s Italy to be used as small change during a severe coin shortage.
This 100-lira note was then worth around 13 cents. #FridayFunFact

💰Not all coins were stamped in a press. Some of the earliest coins were cast.
Creating a hollow mould that is then filled with molten metal is a process 1,000s of years old. This Moroccan mould produced 14 coins at once.
