The 2026 Maryland General Assembly (MGA) convened on 1/14 and is now in session! The next 3 months will be a critical period where we have the opportunity to make changes to the laws at the state level.

Today, @mayorbmscott.bsky.social signed three bills that will expand the types of housing that can be built in Baltimore City and help reduce the cost of that housing:

1) Legalizing single-stair buildings up to six stories
2) Repealing parking minimums citywide
3) Updating bulk and yard standards
