This holiday card from last year was a bit out of the ordinary from my usual pieces for reasons. Lots of symbolism in there.

A black and gold monochrome image of two female Krampus or Perchten who are losing each other with their long out tongues. One is holding a bunch of sticks (for wipping) the other is holding a Ninetails wip. Both are holding hands. Krampus is wipping naughty children and sinners - these two are only wipping each other for pleasure and in concent. The one on the right has a rainbow colored top covering her breasts, the left one has trans pride colors (light blue, light pink, white, light pink, light blue). Both have one human and one goat's foot and they are chained to one another via their right leg. Krampus is originally wearing a chain as symbol that his demonic nature has been bound to the Saint Nicholas and thus is serving the church. These two are only serving each other - so, love.

The mass is full of eyes. Thanks is thrusting a spear into the mass which is erupting in neon red splashes. Both the steed and the rider have a halo of the same neon red color.

Ryu is Ryukyuan and practices Kodudo & Goju-ryu (剛柔流) Karate. For him it's an important tradition rooted in his culture but also a fun competitive activity.

I'm dying to draw him in speedos but he grew up by the sea on an island where the UV index climbs up to 9 on a sunny day. So he'd rather spend it watching boats return to the harbor fully dressed, at sunset, with GariGarikun & Orion beer.

I personally like The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting because it tackles parenthood, guardianship, friendship and loyalty to found family beautifully. Sometimes it's a bit tonally off, but it still makes me smile a lot.
