I have a cat. I like movies. I like games of video and tabletop and card varieties. Will absolutely nerd out over fun stories I love.

LGBTQ ally as best I can be. Bigots, sexists, racists, and Republicans (but I repeat myself) DNI.
My Life in Games, year 1995. Star Wars: Dark Forces.

Hey look, it's an actual Doom Clone!

Yes, it's that one. Pick up a blaster, shoot some space Nazis, and get some of the best Star Wars vibe checks from a video game of the era. This set the bar rather high for other games to follow.

My Life in Games, year 1994. Warcraft: Orcs and Humans.

While I didn't get into this game as my opening touch of the series (that was Warcraft II, thanks to my mother), this game was a fair bit of fun playing it.

An RTS featuring one of my favorite fantasy settings, with two opposing campaigns.

My Life In Games, year 1993. Doom.

This one is fairly easy. Doom took the world by storm, grabbed gamers by the balls, and told us all to go to Hell.

So they did. I was two years old at the time, so I...couldn't. For obvious reasons. But I did eventually beat it two years ago.

It means this.

Really great stats for cost.

My Life In Games, year 1992. Super Mario Kart.

This was one of the first games I really got into. I never once had a SNES myself, so I could only play with friends when I was visiting those who had one of the consoles.

It was always fun to play this on the couch with friends.

So, to start. 1991's entry into my gaming list of My Life In Games is...

The Simpsons Arcade game.

This year didn't have a lot of options I've played, and fewer still I liked. This one just hits different, you know? Four players, each a different yellow family member, rescuing Maggie. Is fun.

Hey Magic, why is Arena breaking on me? I only have 241 copies of Doubling Season out.

A few days ago I had the unpleasant sorrow of putting my cat, Blanche, to sleep at the vet.

Suspected liver failure, but whatever it was, it was caught late. Too late.

Rest well, Blanche. A little more than six years with you in my life made it Golden. I only hope I made as big an impact.

I heard the guy who outed himself as a fascist on the Medhi Hasan episode of Jubilee's Youtube channel got fired from his job, when it came out he was a fascist, when his employer saw how proud he was of being a fascist.

Good.

I hope that fascist never has a comfortable day again.

Oh I just realized. I never showed off my painted Astartes dude.

Bad photos, I'm not good with that yet.

But I feel awesome about this. It is one of the current iteration of Angels of Death Kill Team members, painted with what I thought was a fun color scheme.

See, you made me go check my play time on Steam. My top is this.

Played a match of MTG Arena Standard format, in Gold rank.

To think, my enemy once had me down to 10 life. Then I got busy.

I ended the match with 10 cards left in my deck. I think I did well.

And I'd already gotten the achievement to gain 777 life over any number of games.

And here we see that Twitch Plays Pokémon from back in 2014 was able to beat Misty in less than half that time.

I watched this a bit recently, and while I love it, the editing of this movie is so weird.

Then again, Sylvanas has two of these cards. Her living self in the Alliance, her Forsaken self as the Horde.
March 30, 2025 at 6:34 AM
Shit, Arthas is classed as a death knight hero card in the TCG.

And he's on the Alliance faction side. I strictly stand against this idea but I cannot change it.

Flavor win, for the funsies. All five of the baseline Chromatic dragons from DnD. White, blue, black, red, green. In that order.

I learned something about myself. Maybe. These were interesting results.

I think my biggest complaint with it is there seems to be no functional consequences for any of the characters. None of your party members die for good, even though many of them seemingly die in the moment.

And this is coming from someone who loves the game.

But Cecil's journey is fantastic.

Yeah, I wasted the last durability of my 11-attack Spectral Cutlass on a 1/1 Paladin hero power minion instead of going face or casting another spell to beef it up.

Yeah, I did that.

I still won, sure, but my stupidity there was an accident.

I now have two of these. Got my second one yesterday.
