i think 'star get animation' isnt quite the same thing as that. sure, its pretty long, but its mario doing a victory animation, it isnt just mario making a textbox that says 'yahoo! i got a star! stars can be used to (xyz)!'

only version ive read, myself, was Junji Ito's adaptation of the original novel. however, i did enjoy it and i love how creepy and nasty-looking the creature is in that.

i wish it was still like the early days, where ai generation was a novelty that was too crap to actually use for anything, where you'd ask for a picture of a person and it might look kind of like the person if you squint but is mostly just a giant flesh wad
