It probably ends (at minimum) with war in Venezuela. He still wants to use the Insurrection Act, too, but he’s being urged not to try that for now.

People always ask me what they should pay attention to that they probably aren’t already, and China/Taiwan is normally my answer.

China is really leaning into their ‘grey zone’ strategy and they’re putting a lot of pressure on Taiwan. They’re really hoping to provoke a response.

Trump really isn’t controlling much of anything at this point.

What you’re seeing is the Stephen Miller agenda.

It feels like it, but the issue with Nixon is that the GOP actually gave a shit about their oaths of office back then.

That’s not the case now. They’ve completely abdicated their duty.

If the rumors of a mass-GOP defection on the files come to fruition, we might be closer to a real Nixon moment.

I think it’s pretty likely it will come soon - he’s moving too much firepower into the region just for funsies.

He’s also desperately trying to provoke an attack from Venezuela - he wants this war for the distraction he thinks it will provide.

I think it still matters - even the files that are being released in the drip drip drip are having an impact. There are enough of the real files out there that it would be easy enough to see if they’ve been edited.
