Just finished. Really fun, smart space opera. None of the themes is especially new, but the takes are good and the characters are fantastic.

Forbes' estimates of how much these folks made yesterday. By my math, their one day increase in wealth could fund almost 5 months of SNAP. One. Day. Yes, all those estimates are based on hokum and vibes (h/t @jenmercieca.bsky.social), but SNAP is gone so those folks could have bigger tax breaks.

The fact that nobody can find it or name anyone who's involved with it (except by very soft implication) is just more evidence of how dangerous it is. It's Birch Society stuff.
