We talked at the annual conference of Committee on Migration Research of Polish Academy of Science abt ongoing humanitarian crisis on Poland-Belarus border, especially after the suspension of right to asylum, introduced by the pro-european & liberal Civic Coalition. All quiet on the Eastern border.

We just finished first day of our 23rd seminar on the #border, devoted to nature during crisis. #IwaKołodziejska, presented her work on intertwined human-plant interactions during the war in Ukraine, solastalgia, human resilience & resourcefulness, and nation-building discourses.

Yesterday we heard many voices from those who support people on the move, criticising migration strategy of Poland and especially temporal suspension of right to asylum. In practice, this is already happening with pushbacks being regular practice of Polish uniformed services. #border #GrupaGranica
