Morality and legality are not the same. Many people conflate them. I'm not qualified to decide if that man deserved to die. But just because you can legally do a thing, doesn't make it right or moral. Making people suffer to make a buck is fucked. Nobody forced this guy to choose money over people.

I expect to see some very strongly worded tweets about this. The bar for Congress doing anything about ethical issues is lower than sex trafficking minors. There are no rules for Republicans.

This sentiment is correct, but some people need time to grieve and may be tired from this fight against Trump that has gone in longer than any of us thought. They might just be angry and tired. They may need time to adjust. It doesn't mean they are rolling over without a fight.
