Do you like videogames? Specifically, watching people be only somewhat competent at them? Maybe even getting mad at them for not playing the way you would? That's pretty much what we do! We're Ria and Nas, we play games, we sometimes get on each other's nerves, but we always find a way to have fun.
It takes skill and hard work to make postgame content not feel like a chore. A game like #GhostOfYotei - open-world, featuring several distinct regions - needs to show the player that, just because they've defeated the main bad guy, the stories and lives of others will continue.

You think you're the coolest, just walking around, twirling that fire katana, until a giant dude starts swinging an odachi as long as you're tall and you realize how unprepared for this you are. Well, to hell with preparations. Time to brute force a boss fight!

#DidYouKnow: A patched out item flavor text in #GhostOfYotei made a reference to Fullmetal Alchemist and Roy Mustang's flame alchemy. Check for gloves in your inventory, if you wish to at least see the item. #FakeGameTrivia

Siblings falling out is a bit of a trigger for Nas, so it's pretty good that #GhostOfYotei follows up on the failed Oni assassination with a back-to-back badasses moment on a burning bridge. In another life, Atsu could have been an aura farmer, living off her yields of peak.

Infiltrating Ishikari Castle in #GhostOfYotei is one of the first set pieces in the game that feels bigger, grander even. A slow build-up that allows you to sneak around, a secondary objective in rescuing an ally, and a swerve at the end to throw you off; what's not to love, eh?

You should learn to love yourself, if you haven't done so yet. Be kind to yourself. Do things for yourself. Go on that little walk. Have that glass of water before it goes stale. Buy those clothes you like. Buy some more clothes. Upgrade that armor set. Black Friday's this month.

It seems a bit uneven how, in #GhostOfYotei, you have a whole questline for the yari, what with its skill tree upgrades leading to progressing said questline, when the dual katana gets a few in-game days of training. We're fairly early into the game, sure, but still.

We usually manage to squeeze a couple of different things in each episode of our #GhostOfYotei playthrough (and the others; like, follow and subscribe for more), but once in a while an opportunity presents itself to do a self-sustained snippet, if you will, of the game.

#DidYouKnow: Dying by drowning 100 consecutive times in #GhostOfYotei unlocks a secret armor that has floaties on the arms. It's only a cosmetic appearance, however. You can still drown even with the floaties on. #FakeGameTrivia

Don't feel pressured to appease others, especially if they wouldn't pay attention to you otherwise. But most especially if they consider your shamisen skills subpar, even though you've almost mastered the song composing minigame in #GhostOfYotei.

One thing #GhostOfYotei has over its predecessor is the variety in its side content. Nothing groundbreaking, tbh, but bounty hunts are different from each other, optional encounters have several outcomes depending on dialogue, and platforming sections are quite dynamic.

#DidYouKnow: #GhostOfYotei originally featured a more in-depth cooking/bonus system, akin to, say, Monster Hunter. It was scrapped during development when it began to resemble those culinary blogs where you suffer through walls of text before the actual recipe. #FakeGameTrivia

Losing someone dear to your heart often results in losing yourself to grief. No, we don't have a joke segue into our #GhostOfYotei playthrough: this post is as much about real, actual life as it is about the Blue Yamauba bounty, and that's okay. We can (try to) be funny later.

Personally, Nas loves it when gameplay gets integrated into the game's story. If you haven't acquired a single mask by the time you reach Oni's Breath Inn in #GhostOfYotei, you have to get one in order to progress, making a simple cosmetic item having actual narrative purpose.

With some heavy rainstorms closing out the weekend, it felt nice being able to play #GhostOfYotei at home. What are you folks playing in your spare time as of late?

Sometimes siblings drift apart a little. It could be because of relocating after leaving the family home, work/school priorities, traveling, thinking each other slain by criminals alongside your parents. What's important is finding time for each other once in a while.

The tripwire traps in #GhostOfYotei are, unfortunately, not worth the implementation. Ronin are a higher-tier enemy, yet a group of them won't have enough loot to offset the hassle of having to fight them all. Better be on the watch out for the traps.

#DidYouKnow: Before the last couple of #GhostOfYotei patches, there was a small chance of an NPC spawning inside a hot spring, making it awkward for Atsu to get in herself. #FakeGameTrivia

In every relationship, there comes a time when you feel you can't deal with something by yourself. You psyche yourself up for it, lose sleep over it, only to find out it was so easy to do, you kind of feel embarrassed about worrying. Same thing with bounty hunting, it turns out.

Unlockable regions in open-world games are a bit of a contentious point for us. On one hand, choosing your preferred order offers a unique player experience; on the other, it could leave you lost and in need of some gentle railroading.

Not to spoil this part of our #GhostOfYotei playthrough, but, um, have you guys seen Star Wars? Because Ria might have gone a bit Empire Strikes Back for a certain character. You'll see what we mean.

It can be difficult fitting in when a friend group has already been together for some time. The easiest way to do so is to wait for them to disperse for a few minutes, then take them out one by one. Oh, by "fitting in", we meant "fitting a blade inside of someone's body".
