Every game "can go either way" while nobody is winning it. We looked both the likeliest to win it and unlikely to lose it, IMV. That's because of the quality of the performance. So we'll have to disagree.

It was disjointed and could have gone either way.
But it didn't - we won in a fairly tough place to go, even though Inter have fallen off a cliff.
But it is hopefully something to build on.
Only time will tell, but I wouldn't put a huge stack of chips on any result, either way.

Lots of praise for Bradley and Wirtz's cameo. And it's worth remembering that 1) the circumstances that allowed them to flourish were set by a resolute team performance and b) neither things happen without Slot's tactics and reading of the game.

Definitely gave us another shot in the arm to think we could win this. But, you're right - the foundation was just being resolute and not silly. It's basic. But it works. And it consistently has for us against the very best even this season.

Had a horror week and have come away with arguably one of the club's best UCL results for a decade. I won't have a bad word said about it. Lots and lots of positives, for me.

Agreed. But I think one thing (lack of attacking fluency) is a symptom of the other thing (being defensively structured). It's always difficult to be fluent in attack when you're trying to be difficult to beat. That said, we did create. Not pretty. But very effective.

I thought it was a very solid performance, defensively we looked more reassuring, the midfield tracking back was much better and made us very difficult to break down which is not something we've seen to often this season. Attack wasn't on fire but you build from the back and lay a foundation

1000%! It was a brilliant away performance. We suffered well. We were brave without being silly. But for smart saves from Sommer, it could've been more. Genuinely, if it ended 0-0, my tone wouldn't have changed. Because it was a PROPER away performance at one of the toughest grounds.

Best away performance of the season considering the opposition. Totally solid, great effort, no stupid mistakes, always looked capable of nicking one. We needed a Houllier-era performance and we got one.

I can't believe there are people saying that wasn't a brilliant performance. Of course, we can be more coherent in attack. But our plan was to be difficult to beat. And we were excellent at being difficult to beat. Don't confuse a resolute performance with a bad one.

I can't say any player has played particularly badly or well. But one thing that has happened is that all have played slowly and without ideas. That is plain and simply a coaching issue. Nothing else. They're not well-prepared here. There's no other excuse to be made.

This is such a badly coached team. This hasn't been a bad performance from individuals. This is just a team that isn't prepared for a difficult game at this level. I've said this for months now. This is basics: staying in positions, putting in effort, having confidence. It's crazy.

The worst thing about this is the losses aren't small. They're big, damaging ones. Even if our form picked up, I can see a scenario where, as soon as we get a negative result, the trauma of this hideous period just rattles them. It feels like it might need something completely new.

Been a while since I watched the lads. They appear to have gotten worse. I don't think there's a way out for Slot, you know. And I feel bad for him. But, as I said several weeks back, this is a badly coached team. Really bad. And I can't see that changing. At least not quickly.
