Mountain Investigation coming out on the 7th April 2025 for the one direction big bang 2025 ✈️

"Do you know him?" Louis asks.

"Yeah. Harry's my best friend," Niall says, rubbing his face as he drops the file. "I knew he had a flight today, but I didn't think - or well, I hoped that it wasn't this one. Hoped it would have been a later one."

"That's why you wanted to come to the interviews with me." Realisation dawns on Louis and he looks at Niall, assessing his face. "I don't know if you should be involved in this investigation."

"No, please, Lou. I need to." Niall looks at him, his eyes pleading and watery. "Harry always flies with James. As soon as I saw the name on this file, I knew that one would be Harry's." Niall rubs his eyes. "I promise, I won't let my friendship get in the way."

"And if it turns out it was pilot error-"

"It won't. Harry's a good pilot," Niall says, voice clipped as he looks at Louis. "I know Harry, I trained with him."

Louis sighs. "I know you know him, but Niall. That's why it's not going to be a good idea. Especially for the interviews."

Niall looks at Louis, a frown forming on his face. "Louis-"

"No, Niall. I've decided. You're going to stay here, you can do the behind the scenes work. But I can't let you do the interviews, you're too close to the investigation."

“I’m really glad you came out tonight.” Harry’s face is inches away from his and Louis takes a deep breath in.
“Yeah.” Louis’ eyes drift to Harry’s. Louis can feel Harry’s warm breath hitting his face, can smell the hints of vanilla from Harry’s shampoo. Harry leans in and Louis’ about to before he realises what he’s doing, he pushes Harry gently, watching as he looks slightly hurt. “I’m sorry. This is wrong. I- I should go.” Louis stands up, already turning to walk away.
“Louis-“ Harry stands up, sliding his feet into his shoes.
“I’m really sorry Harry. This is really unprofessional and I should never have let it get this far. I think it’s better if we only see each other for work purposes. Or if someone else does it on my behalf.” Louis turns, he sees Harry’s eyes brimming with tears. “Please don’t cry. Not over me.”
“Louis please, stay.” Harry’s voice quivers and Louis’ heart breaks all the more.
“I wish I could. I shouldn’t act on these inappropriate feelings. If it wasn’t for the case and everything…” Louis looks anywhere but Harry’s eyes. “I’ll get someone to speak to you when I need.” He turns and begins to walk away.
He hears a cry behind him and it takes everything in him from turning around and taking Harry in his arms. Somehow, he walks away, calling a taxi as soon as he’s out of the woods.

There’s something funny about an air accident investigator taking his mind off an air accident investigation by watching air accident investigations 😆

“Hey Z,” Louis says, wiggling out of his trousers.
“Hey Tommo. You don’t sound yourself, is everything okay?” Zayn’s voice is full of worry, and Louis shouldn’t be surprised that Zayn can tell. Zayn always seems to know everything about Louis and his feelings.
“This investigation is just a lot more than I expected.” Louis slides his legs into his pyjama bottoms before staking his shirt off, throwing it on the floor.
“Oh?” Zayn hums. “Can you say anything about it?”
“Not really.” Louis sighs. Turning around and collapsing onto the bed, stretching his arms above his forehead. “God I wish I could. I just… need someone to talk to. Someone who’s not on the case.”
“I mean…. You could talk to me, I won’t tell anyone.” Zayn suggests and Louis groans, reaching over and grabbing his phone. “I promise.”
“I know it’s just….” Louis sighs. “I don’t want to risk anything getting out, you know? Like I know you won’t tell anyone but still.”
“Yeah I understand.” Louis hears some shuffling. “How about we watch some air crash investigations together, get your mind off of this one?”
Louis can’t help but laugh at that. “Yeah, alright. Tell me what one and I’ll get it up.”

Summary:

Inheriting a derelict farm with no knowledge on how to look after the land and a farmhouse in dire need of renovations, Harry’s stuck with two options; sell it, or do it up for himself.

With the help of his friends and the cute farmer next door, Harry sees the potential and creates a Winter Wonderland at Cedar Farm.

“Ah! I see you’re awake!” The man exclaims in an Irish accent. Louis supposes they can’t be too far from home, maybe Ireland? But then how did they get there? “Santa! Are you ready for the day ahead?”

Santa??

“Did you just call me Santa?” Louis scowls at him. “Who are you, where are we? What have you done with us?”

“Ah, I should’ve expected this.” The stranger closes the door behind himself as he steps inside. “My name is Niall. Take a seat and I’ll explain everything.”

“I don’t know if I want to hear.” Harry stands up and walks to be next to Louis. “I need to go home.”

Sooooo I am writing a thing ✈️

Pilot: Harry Edward Styles
Age: 30
Employed since: 23rd July 2015
Average Flight Hours: 7000
Styles has been employed by British Airways for almost ten years, flying mainly long distance. He got his commercial pilot licence at twenty-one and has been employed since.
Harry’s report is clean, as far as Louis can read, the report detailing every flight, having his reports from each flight he has flown. Louis heaves out a sigh as Niall puts his phone down on the table.
“The air traffic controllers are going to email the communication logs over to us, I still need to speak to the company about the manifest. I already got the pilot report.” Niall doesn’t look up from his phone. “Does the report give anything about the pilot?”
“It’s all squeaky clean, he’s never been involved in a crash,” Louis says. “I’ll make my way to the hospital, see if he’s okay to talk or if he’s awake. Maybe we can get some information about the crash from him.”
“There’s a notebook in a box over there.” Niall points, typing a number into his phone. “Good luck.”
