I have never farmed so I am sure that you are far more of an expert. I agree that we need to safeguard our food supply. Perhaps subsidies are the right solution, but it feels like the goal should always be to help people become more self-sufficient and not permanently dependent on gov’t support.

Agreed. But it’s overcooked and too much of it goes to support Agri-business as opposed to family farms.
