Well-intentioned people support “trans” because they believe it’s kind to do so. There ARE vulnerable people under the trans umbrella, but those are the ones being hurt the most by the ideology. The only ones truly benefitting are narcissists and predators.

Was the more than 20-fold rise in trans identities since 2010 the result of people finally feeling free to express their authentic selves? Or was it a social contagion?

I think that's why so much has to be invested into the cult, to keep everyone from experiencing the cognitive dissonance. When people perceive 100% of everyone around them thinking & saying the same thing, they can be oblivious to things that would be obvious to anyone else.

It's been an interesting few days, arguing with TRAs. I have tried to have discussions, exploring the reasons why women (talking about sex, not gender) want sides away from men.
I've been told that there is no need for single sex spaces, but that TW would be unsafe in the men's.

Misogyny on the left is still misogyny. I am a lifelong Democrat and I’m glad bsky leans left, but it is clear sexism transcends left and right politics. I think there would be a lot more engagement on this site if bsky did more to discourage the misogyny.
