On my first attempt last year, I made the single biggest mistake after being overwhelmed by the game's options: Play it like a souls-like, sticking to a build to upgrade it bit by bit.

For me it was that roar when the shell broke.

I fought Fatalis so many times before Wilds dropped, that I recognized the similarity to that roar. Then came the movements, the attacks and even White's red lightning.
