My wife and I bought a giant container of m&Ms at Costco. I'm going to casually but exclusively eat the blue ones and see if she notices.

Beginning to feel like the real value of AI chat bots for coding is that you feel like you're pairing. It's a rubber duck that can sometimes actually make you think differently, like a human pair does

People say vim motions are what make vim special but after pairing with folks that regularly navigate 30+ tabs in Cursor, I'm beginning to think tabs vs buffers is a close second for "most useful"

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but today is the first day of your life. Close all the the tabs-mentally, emotional and literally. Take a breath, get outside if you can and start fresh.

This is also true of writing code!!

Just write something!!

It can be ugly, inefficient, fail to run—doesn’t matter!!

It *will* help you become better.
no writing goes to waste. every draft rotting in a notebook has helped your writing get where it is now
if u see this, quote-post with your tips for writers that no one gives anymore because they seem obvious (even though they're not)

The best part of bsky is it feels like the one place on the internet that isn't advertising something to me. Bless

Wild Coast Raw, the company responsible for the tainted food which is causing indoor-only cats to die of bird flu, is deleting comments on their Instagram about the topic. So they're killing pets and trying to cover it up. Cool.

I was beginning to feel like we might finally have precedented times but now I'm thinking we'll be in unprecedented forever. Every day, a new escalation.

FYI, Amazon will no longer enable the downloading of ebooks to exterior devices starting February 26th. You need a pre 2024 Kindle to download them via USB. If you want the aw3 files convertable with Calibre(free), you have until Feb 26 to do this via the Content library option on your account.

These members of congress agreed to withhold their votes on funding bills while we fight this consitutional crisis. If they represent you, call/email them tomorrow and say thanks, give them your support, and tell them to hold firm. Find their contact info here: Reps.fyi
Folks were asking which MoCs did make the commitment on the spot. Celebrate these leaders!
Sen. Warren
Sen. Van Hollen
Rep. Waters
Rep. Pallone
Rep. Pressley
Rep. Cleaver
Rep. Beatty
Rep. Velázquez
Rep. Ansari
Rep. Foster
Rep. Simon
Rep. Amo
Rep. Meeks
Rep. Balint
Rep. Magaziner
Rep. Raskin
Only one Rep, Brad Sherman, declined to commit on the spot. He said he'd have to see the bill. The crowd didn't like that. They chanted back "WITHHOLD YOUR VOTE." If Sherman comes over to our side, we should welcome him. But until he does, I hope he gets the same question from his constituents.

Not allowed to use Arc at work (which I understand) so I'm trialling Zen as the thing everyone says resembles Arc but so far the Aesthetic is right but nothing else. It's slightly different Firefox and janky as hell. I miss Arc
