Finished with the body of my MGSD Barbatos. Happy with how it turned out. Still need to top coat and decal the weapons.

Recently I’ve been working on my MGSD Barbatos. Trying my hand with a first attempt at weathering and battle damage. Normally I don’t like these looks but I have enjoyed this process.

WIP update: I got all the parts cut out, cleaned, and organized. But this is where this is going to stall out for a bit I think. I want to do something different of trying to something new with this one. Might try my hand at a distressed paint job. But not sure.

Next build starting now. Not sure how much I’ll customize it or color alter. May just go straight build. I absolutely love the MGSD lineup. Wish there were more like them. Until I get the Aerial, this is the last one.

Finished project! In Era Trailblazer! Man this project was a journey! Loved how it pushed me in new ways, really enjoyed coloring all the small details, even if they will almost never be noticed. It’s not a perfect kit, it has some issues, but man, can’t deny the presence!

WIP update. Yes this kit is taking my longer than normal but I sure am enjoying the journey. In Era didn’t have to go as hard as they did with the details, but I’m glad they did! This is just the under skirt parts on the waist! Had fun with the colors.

WIP update. The Trailblazer’s legs are done! These things are massive, pointy, and obscenely big in the lower half. I’m not sure it’s going to amount to much posability, but will look cool. I added some color highlights on the inner frame stuff.

WIP Update. The Trailblazer backpack is complete! This thing is HUGE, unwieldy, gangly, gnarly, and amazing all rolled into one! This kit has pushed me and I can see I’m improving on some techniques, but still need to work on others.

WIP update. Backpack fins/guns assembled and decal’d. Heat sabers insert into them. Still need to top coat them all. I’m absolutely loving this kit! 😍

I added a few colors here and there as small details. It’s added so much to the kit.

Spending some time adding some color to the In Era Trailblazer. Starting with the weapons, then probably moving to the inner frame. There is so much detail in this kit. Pretty awesome. Using some simple water based metallic markers.

Starting a new project! (Sshh, don’t remind me of my current WIP). In Era Trailblazer 1/100 scale. This will be my first non-Bandai kit. I’ve hear really good things about In Era kits. Loved the look of this. Let’s see how it goes!

Finished my MGSD Freedom with Wings Of Light kit! I decided to go with a gloss top coat rather than a matte. I think I like the glossy look.
