This is great! I've been wanting to sprinkle letta on lots of things, but it's been tough to architect. this is very cool.

It feels like there was a big push for both Claude Code and Codex to modify tool calls to never blow out context. I assume as a means to increase horizon length? But Sonnet 4.5 will also run the same command 5 times grepping for different output rather than see everything.

I dream of a future where a cheap server stack run out of a colo or basement can power an internet-scale social media site w/ multiple years of data retention. Democratize communication.

Setting your data to retention to one day gets you about 28 gigs going from morning until now. So call it 60 gigs a day. Thats managable for a small retention window for a normal human.

Ehhh don’t underestimate the amount of Bogdanovich/Herzog-breaking-into-places-to-get-the-shot that happens. Even music videos with a lot of extras are made with more forgiveness than permission.

I was riffing on Thiel’s thing that the antichrist is probably either Yud or Greta. Also, put him side by side with real cult leaders and what has he actually done? Blogged? Given talks?

stancil, pete, yud, greta. A few more and we could have a mildly objectionable bracket going.

Yeah, I also think we’re entering an era where some businesses will engage in costly signaling in order to build expertise/appear hip to this new ai thing, i.e. they’re willing to lose candidates to their expensive and cringe ai interviewer so they only hire people who think it’s neat, actually.

You’d burn through your BeyondPresence tokens pretty fast running it all day but if you own hardware or are committed to leaning into AI it’s probably not worse than fully-loaded salaries for n recruiters.

I’m gonna try TDD as my de facto way of writing code w/ AI for a bit. It seems like if you have them write the tests absent the code, they write strong tests. If you give them the code to write tests against, they reward hack pretty consistently.

It turns out instead of taking an oath on the tennis court not to disband you can just disband and play tennis on it instead.
