Bigotry isn't always obvious. It can be very subtle. This fear of calling bigotry out has made so many awful behaviors just acceptable and, I hate to say it, awful people comfortable in this fandom. This knight/prince jayvik thing is just one example of how racism seeps into everything.

in racism. I feel obligated to say that I don't condone putting artists and writers under a microscope, but that very thing is way too often used as a shield from valid criticism. We need to stop being afraid of criticizing popular creators and common questionable behaviors in fandom spaces.
