Pres Trump takes a maximalist approach, make a very huge demand showing how great he is than negotiate back from this position to get something he cares dearly about. So take the oil but instead Pres Maduro should go everything fine. The problem is he is resting on America's laurels. No princples.

I think until people stop seeing just terrorist attacks as evil while starting wars are seen as instruments of foreign policy not evil too. The Iraq War was evil and the death knell of the American era. What we see here like with renaming the Gulf as American is nothing short of naked aggression.

He also had a cool relationship with T'Pol his Vulcan Science Officer & the Andorians. He was able to operate in both worlds, be calm & diplomatic when meeting alien races but cold & determined when facing foes.
