This scene is the moment someone is out of combat and should have been allowed to surrender. I painted it from the imagined view of the people on the boats, not DoD drone footage. They were human beings. Integrity and compassion are not naïve. They are the point.

There are cases where commanders cannot compel Soldiers to sign. For example paying for missing or lost property, you cannot compel a Soldier to sign if it has been more than a certain amount of time, or if the Soldier disputes they are responsible - without conducting an investigation.

Sudden closures without proper notice shouldn't be legal imo. Thinking of the employees and owners who operated their businesses out of there 😔
