Two years since coming out to everyone on twitter - many people had known loong before that, but it felt like such a huge milestone! The ESC community there were a huge part of the journey. A shame the website is no longer so safe for us. As needed more than ever, Happy trans day of visibility 💜

Portugal is so one of my favourite countries ever at the contest - it's difficult even to restrict myself to a top 10, but here they are atm 💜

Recently finished rewatching the last 10 Eesti Lauls, and here are my top fifty songs from that period. Estonia shóúld be such a powerhouse, a shame so many years the actual esc pick was a choice®

For years, I've kept track of my most played track over the past 365 days and today it's changed to none other than Zjerm 🔥🇦🇱 💜 Made of by Goldielocks is hot on its heels though so I'm curious to see how long the reign will be!

my top 12... so far not a vintage year for me, I adore Zjerm, really like Asteromata and enjoy a few others but I really hope the next week will add at least another song I love. After the last two nights, it's mourning Made of, Sadzejot, Heaven Sent, Fire/Powerplay and Sil' hours at Aviera HQ!

Rewatching 1966 and starting off with the gorgeous Die Zeiger der Uhr. One of a couple of candidates for my fav of the year, such a gorgeous melancholy song but one with hope at its heart. Margot really gives an understated but mesmerising performance, too.

Late night DORA listenings have resumed and here are the Aviera HQ ratings. It's a very mixed field but it's nice to see Croatia taking a handful of risks and incorporating different genres. I would live for them sending rap or some folk-rock! 💜

My ranking of the Eesti Laul wildcard. They really done goofed with this format instead of having two semis and a final, because multiple songs here are head and shoulders above a good half of the actual finalists for me. Absolutely enchanted by Südamés and Sound of pines..

NF representation in my last 4 years of Spotify Wrapped! Out of 400 songs, 199 have come from ESC NFs😭. 40 (~20%) of those are from Italy alone, with the Balkans providing 29 and the Baltics 24. Iberia (mostly Portugal) have come the closest any year to beating Italy, with 8 songs vs IT's 9 in 2024!

Aviera FiK ratings finally in... that was long. Shkodra Elektronike's Zjerm my easyyy winner, I hope they can make an impact and Albania brings something surprising!

One year since Andre Braugher passed on and every time I remember he's no longer with us I feel the loss but also huge appreciation for his incredible work over the years. His words to Rosa on b99 when she comes out are one of many Holt quotes that will live with me forever 💜

Aviera HQ's Eesti Laul rankings are in! Generally found this an enjoyable nf, with a handful of songs that would be strong contenders at ESC. I'm so team Tule 💜

I've spent a couple of days in Nice, exploring it and some nearby towns (and Monaco 🇲🇨). The time has gone by way too quickly but on the bright side, when I return, there's so much new Eurovision NF content to rate!

Airports are all "tiny nail scissors? Small bottle of mineral water? No way!" but then you get to duty free and can buy a lollipop that could probably knock out a grown person 😭

My Top 100 songs off Spotify wrapped - but it's the ESC and NF songs that made it! Portugal and Italy once again serving fine dining but it's nice to see a few others providing more than one or two songs to my soundtrack too 💜

A wee map made out of curiosity showing how long it's been since each eurovision country's nf winner was also my fav of its selection 💜! Norway and Czechia broke long streaks of not sending my fav last year, but there's a bunch of countries left where that hasn't happened in 20+ years or ever :o
