Always. But I never listened. To be an artist is to know oneself. If I’m not honing how I want my art to look as I’m learning, then it’ll take me longer to find out who I am.

It was one of our finals for drawing one. So my very first semester at art school. They used cotton, silk, and one other type of fabric. That was the only project where I went after hours over the weekend. I was INVESTED. Almost got a 100, but my TA said that ONE line was too “stylized” 🙄
