btw "number of effective samples" is wrong and misleading, and should be "the effective sample size"

Since I made the recommendation for the current default prior in brms, of course I say that it's perfectly acceptable.

You can follow the PC-prior paper guidance for how to adjust PC-priors depending on how close to the reference distribution you want this prior to concentrate.

It looked much more impressive for the naked eye. The photo is with a phone and daylight setting. The night mode photo was too bright, losing contrast. The photo also misses the movement and immersion
