this brings me back (I think it goes back for more than 30 years?) - although some of these characters may seem very Dutch (or very odd) they were such a staple of Dutch street life years ago - great series of works

These are not just any kids, these are the children of Jacob Olie - the photographer. His daughter Aagje (right) is the main reason his 4000+ images of turn-of-the-century Amsterdam survived to this day. In 1959 she made all negatives public, making her father a famous photographer after his death.
