Loved Crooks' work since the Charlie Cheese days, as a performer and writer, it's been wonderful to witness the trajectory of his art over the decades. Like us all, he gets even better as he matures. The Detectorists was, for me, perfection. Will definitely be checking out Small Prophets.

Not a sports fan but did work on a small series of TV shorts about fandom and, at least back then (25yrs past?), the scientific assessment was that fandom is fandom, whether it be sports, music, art, cinema, TV, gaming... It's all the same psychologically. Fandom is good for you. Celebrate it.

I just had to tell my 16 old off a little because of childish behavior (nothing serious)... How on Earth would anyone think that 16 is mature enough to enter into a consensual relationship with a grown adult is beyond me.

So cool seeing Chris H and Simon Y's names on the sleeve notes... I used to do art classes with Simon (awesome artist BTW), and was good friends with Chris and his brother, Grant... Chris had his own project, christ., which is very BoC adjacent and worth checking out.

Look at respected international new agencies, they'll tell you whats up. AP, Reuters, Al Jazeera, etc. Or better yet, use Ground News and get your head straight instead of creating this myth that information is being suppressed across the globe.

I don’t remember people ever not doing it tbh. There has, thankfully, been a cessation of folks going thru every damn ringtone they’ve got on the bus tho.

Had the pleasure of handling online distribution of some of Ted's limited run releases, and Blurt reissues, in the '00s and while I admit I never truly felt I understood what Ted was saying, I always loved hanging out with him. Charisma doesn't really cover it, the guy is sort of magnetic.
