I finished! Beat my goal time of 1:50 (got 1:44:11), and biked at 20.8mph (seriously, rode the hardest I’ve ever done in my life). And… won third place for my division!

The tap water here isn’t safe, so the hotel provides lots of bottles of filtered water. The glassware for drinking is small, and has the heft like a tumbler, and it clinks when I set down the glass. So I feel like I’m pouring fingers of whiskey every time I’m thirsty.

Dinner (lunch? Time zones were crossed): fantastic leek&fennel soup, chicken confit w/broccolini and beats, and a black current white chocolate mousse for dessert.
