2) The journalists covering this area have been involved in various campaigns at the heart of these communities over the years and doing away with in situ coverage will mean issues that affect people in these parts will be less heard.

1) Scottish Television are proposing to shut down their “STV North” programme - which covers anywhere north of Perth, the Highlands and Islands, Moray and Aberdeen. Basically half the country, where news has been delivered for sixty years with a very separate and strong local identity.
