I finished Fevered Sky by Rebecca Roanhorse, and I’ve just ordered the third book in her trilogy. Phenomenal stuff! Can’t wait to read the final book.

My uncle who is kind of close minded read Good Bones. And he ambushed me as soon as I walked in on Thanksgiving with shockingly unexpected praise. That’s a lot to take in, but it’s a good thing.

Happy Halloween! About ten copies of Revenant probably got put on my neighbors porch by the USPS the other day, so they are probably soaked and ruined now.

Finished Black Sun. What a book!! Complex and engaging, a real journey into Indigenous fantasy. Loved it. I will tear into the next book when I get home.

I will never understand the kind of deep seated insecurity and fear that makes a person compulsively driven to ruin other people’s lives. If you need to bully someone to feel tough, then you’re not. If you need to look down on others to feel good, you’re not a good person. Period, end of story.
