I am both surprised and enjoying it. I thought I would write just one book, which quickly turned into three and has the potential for even more 😅

Self-publishing feels a bit daunting right now but there are quite a few good guides out there to help me.

All nice so far.

I'm not sure what the catalyst was for me. It wasn't anything specific. And now I suddenly find myself writing a trilogy 😅

I'll keep that in mind, thank you!

2/2 Thusfar I haven't considered character illustrations yet. I am happy to let readers visualize the characters in different ways. In all the art I make I feel that I have a responsibility to leave some things to the imagination of the audience. Leave some mystery and self-determination to them.

I definitely have ideas for the cover. My hunt for artists has slowly begun. I'm thinking along the lines of these two books, kinda, but with less defined character images (slightly more blurry, more faded colors etc.)

And I'm trying to keep the country it takes place in as vague as possible. Choosing to avoid markers that for instance would place it in North America or Africa. Quite the challenge 😊

Visuals? For the book? Do you mean the cover? Or just the images I have in my mind of the characters and settings?

I'm deliberately keeping myself from forming mental pictures of the characters: so not just me but also readers can interpret their looks in many ways. 1/2

Definitely character driven for this trilogy.

'Big Stuff' has been set in motion before book 1 starts. Said 'Big Stuff' tries to dictate happenings but our FMCs are not having it and take action (often together with their respective partners) to move the plot forward in their favor.

It is a sentient object romance trilogy. I'm keeping the objects secret for now😊. The first book focusses on respect and consent. I'm working on the second right now and am still figuring its angle. I think the third one will be centered on acceptance, grief, and healing, in an upbeat-ish way.
