5 years ago, the #TPNW established a prohibition of #nuclearweapons due to their unacceptable humanitarian consequences + risks. Moving away from #nuclearweapons is today more urgent amid geopolitical tensions and even higher nuclear risks.

Yesterday, #INTGenderChampions Volker Türk, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and Désirée Schweitzer, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the @austriaungeneva.bsky.social, brought together a group of 25 Geneva Champions to discuss the state of gender within human rights around the world.
#HRC Special Session on #ElFasher: Austria condemned the horrific atrocities which include GBV and called for a cessation of hostilities, unhindered humanitarian access and respect for the arms embargo.
