I made it like 3 years without social media but here I go oop oop oop
onto the bandwagon.
I am particularly vulnerable to the chunky shoe + cute skirt combo.

Tehanu (book 4 in the cycle) is seriously one of the most remarkable novels I've ever read. One of my all time favs!

Inviting the audience to contemplate the events/themes of the story is not the same as ambiguity. Good lord.

Hibiscus tea + Sprite (Spribiscus) belongs to the same family of ambrosia.

I spent way too long trying to decipher the text before I realized you meant a pet groomer.

Javelina was the industry bar we always went to after each shift. Lotta fuzzy memories from that place ✨️

Reminds me of how in the 70s, people tried to sell Kissinger as a sex icon.

Sweet potato pie is superior to pumpkin for the open-faced pie category. But pumpkin makes for a better cheesecake, in my experience.

Formalwear Fightclub would be an amazing game.
Each character's fighting style is determined by how their clothes restrict their movement.

Does it count if they're all still hot?
Or did I just tip my hand?

Evan Dahm's webcomics on rice-boy.com are all incredible. Vattu is simply one of the best comics I've ever read.

Sometimes I think about what kind of man I'd be if I weren't just a cute little dweeb. Scary, sad stuff.

I love how the moral of the story is basically:
"Hey kids, sin and debauchery are great, actually! But you need to have genuine love in your life and to be ready to make a sacrifice for people in need."

But I also think the headlines are overblown. "Gen Z Can't Read" has the same stink as "Millenials Are Killing the [X] Industry."

That attitude my Engl teachers had was: being able to digest info and meaning from antique prose is a real life skill (and a vital one if you go to college) so we're gonna drill it into you now. And my HS was in a rural town in central TX, I wasn't getting a top-shelf education.

I dunno. I cant speak on what's happening in high schools now, but when I was in HS 20 years ago, there was a real emphasis in reading older texts. We read Dickens, Chaucer and Shakespeare specifically *because* the worlds and language were so different from ours.

No, im convinced that anyone using gen AI for their classes is aware on some level that what they're doing is cheating.
And I do understand why someone would use the Cheat Machine. The high cost of college, and the degree requirements for decent employment incentivize cheating, AI or otherwise
