I struggle with Asics because I like the shoes and like what they're doing but I remember metaphorically trading in my Asics wrestling shoes for Emerica skate shoes and the whole thing feels like a fever dream born of my fear of disappointing my coach for quitting the team for skateboarding.

What we used to call a half flip kids now refer to as a cancel, which is a term borrowed from the fighting game community. Its like chocolate and cheese for me. Love them both, don't want them in combination lol.

Rob is at least slightly palatable in the sense that he seems way more self aware in interviews than the other guys in the pro skate-to-hustle grifter pipeline. I'll always appreciate what he did to keep AWS and Habitat alive, even if I don't fuck with the modern versions. Mikey and Prod would never

Being self aware has helped with self esteem in the sense that I understand the things I didn't like about myself weren't as naturally under my control as they are for neurotypical people. It still feels incremental because the line between "I hate myself" and "I hate this burden" is very fine. 3/3

The last 8 months have had me feeling like I've got the world in the palm of my hand, and I'm fighting to grasp it, but my brain wants to flip my hand palm down instead. Almost every opportunity I've dreamed of is sitting in my lap and I still struggle with motivation and consistency. 2/3
