Why would you travel through a wild area? Unless it's a shortcut or a scenic route, I'm not taking my chances in a place with animals that could turn me into their next meal.

That's not what I'm complaining about. I'm complaining about how there's no safety with wild zones. Anyone can walk in and get killed by a wild pokemon easily.

You know I feel like having a wild zone is a bad idea if a kid walks in without a pokemon. Nothing's stopping a kid from walking into a wild zone, the gates are holograms.
If anything this is the equivalent of having a zoo with no gates to stop people from wandering into animal enclosures.
